Hi, I am a retired UVA professor and also a former high school physics teacher. I have an undergraduate degree from Yale University and a masters in Biomedical Engineering from UVA. As a former UVA medical student and a Yale premed student, I can relate well with premed students working through their premed science requirements. I love science and I love teaching. Individual tutoring rates are as follows: Gen Chem: $40/hr Organic Chem: $44/hr Physics: $48/hr MCAT Prep: $48/hr Your first session is free. (Free session offer good only during first 2 weeks of the semester and only for students who have not received tutoring from me before and are contemplating weekly session for the whole semester.) A weekly physics group tutoring session is also available at reduced rate of $24/hr per student. The group physics sessions focus on understanding the weekly homework material. A one hour deposit is required to hold a reservation after the first session. The deposit is a non-refundable credit, which may be applied to your last session. Please note, I require 24 hrs advanced notice if you want to cancel or 4 hrs notice to reschedule a session without losing your deposit. Please let me know if you cannot make your appointment. Just not showing up will cost you your deposit. All tutoring is conducted at my office located on Arlington Boulevard, across the street from Buffalo Wild Wings, next to Barracks Road Shopping Center and down the street from the Law School. (By bus, take the UVA Northline Bus to McDonald's). The street address is 1980 Arlington Boulevard, Suite #E. Look for the colonial brick building with the white columns.
